Selecting Music Decor

How do you know which music decor is right for you?

What does music decor mean to you?

Do you want every single wall to have decor that is music related? Or do you prefer to have a focal point where you focus on a simple, yet elegant, reminder of your love for music, and then use accents of music themed home decor throughout the rest of your home...

Selecting decor, music decor, gifts, music party decorations, music themed home decor, wind spinners with music notes, bedroom-bath-music room art, throws, rugs, figurines, collectibles, corinthian bells chimes, and musical movies can be an overwhelming task.

The best advice I can offer is to take one step at a time. When you find a music themed item that you like, if you feel it will fit with your music decor theme, get it.

Define what music decor means for you. If you are an outdoor person, you might like to see a guitar wind spinner hanging on your porch or perhaps hear a corinthian bells chime nudged by a gentle breeze.

Not every wall, corner, room, crook nor cranny needs to be saturated with music decor. The main thing is that you select music decor that gives you pleasure and brings you a sense of enjoyment.

Decor Music Decor and Music-Themed Home Decor

If music puts a song in the air, gives your mind wings, adds flight to your imagination, and enriches life, can you afford not to tune-up your home with music decor?

What is music-themed home decor?

Think about this -- any interior or exterior decor - music related, for example, music themed furniture, or bed and bath accessories, wall art, tapestry selections, lamps, figurines, throws, rugs, collectibles, books, musical movies, wind spinners with music notes, party decorations, puzzles, games, and so forth that relates to music.

Many stylish, fun items are available in this category!

Where do you put it or how do you use it?

Some items, such as shower curtains, soap dispensers, or salt and pepper shakers, are made for certain areas. Other items, such as rugs, throws, or lamps just seem to fit better in one place versus another. But there is always room for flexibility because you can add music themed decor to any area of your home.

There is a lot of music decor wall art available in different sizes and subjects. It just depends on your particular tastes and where you will use it. The more elaborate, the more costly, but there are simpler, less expensive ones too.

Put a music box where you will play it every day. Music boxes are made to be played and enjoyed. Music boxes are happy. They will definitely put a song in your heart and are one of the easiest ways to add music decor to any room. I have a favorite music box and every time I walk by it, the beautiful tune starts playing in my head and creates a memory I can take with me in my mind. Some times I actually take time to wind it and listen to it play. Something as simple as a music box truly gives my mind wings and adds flight to my imagination.

One simple hook hanging from a plain music note might hold your bathrobe while you are in the shower, while another hook hanging from a treble clef can be used to hang your hat.

For your patio or garden area, enjoy nature's music with wind chimes. Corinthian Bells Chimes are usually a very welcome sound and come in a variety of tones. If you need more quiet, you might prefer watching a music-related wind spinner with music notes on a twirling machine. Wind spinners always look better twirling.

Consider Music decor for your home if you want to give your mind wings and add flight to your imagination because it can definitely enrich your life by taking your mind off of stressful situations and give you a new outlook on life.

Best Twirler, Spinner Stand, Battery Operated Rotator for Wind Spinner

Can you see the wind blow? Perhaps not, but you can see things move as a direct result of the wind. When there is no wind or slight breeze to make your windspinner spin, there is still hope. Lets talk about how to choose the best twirler, spinner stand, and battery operated rotator for your wind spinner.

For your favorite outdoor location, a spinner stand is a great way to enjoy your wind spinner. The shepherds hook stands or similar heart spinner stands are placed in the ground. Their overall length can vary from approximately 62 to 66 inches long and 13 to 23 inches wide, depending on which wind spinner stand you choose. From the point where it goes in the ground, you can figure a height of about 48 inches to the top. This type of spinner stand relies solely on the wind to make your spinner spin. Perched on a hilltop or added to a garden spot, you can easily tell if the wind is blowing every time you look at your wind spinner.

Anywhere that you have a wall with enough wind to spin your wind spinner, you might like a wall bracket that would adjust to hold from a 12-inch up to a 16-inch wind spinner. Mount this bracket on a porch wall, add your spinner, and watch how the gentle breezes set your spinner in motion.

If you want to display multiple wind spinners, consider electric rotators which usually rotate at one speed and are used indoors. Electric rotators may hold up to 10 pounds or as many as five 12-inch spinners. Turn a corner of a room into an eye-catching arena when you place mirrors from the corner in both directions to reflect the movement of multiple wind spinners in a vertical line all moving at the same time.

Intermittent battery powered rotators may have a three function switch that allows you to turn it on, off, or set it on intermittent. A particularly nice feature is that you may be able to turn it on and off with an infrared TV, DVD or VHS remote control unit. The intermittent battery powered rotators may mount on a base similar to a smoke detector, or from a wire handle. Read more about these, as they may turn themselves off automatically to conserve on battery power. The intermittent battery powered spinner is great for someone who may be physically challenged or for anyone who wants the convenience of the remote.

Do you need a heavy duty battery wind spinner? When you choose the large battery powered rotator, you will need to decide how fast your spinner should turn. Do you want your spinner to turn faster or slower. That will dictate which speed you choose. This heavy duty battery wind spinner is nine inches long and will hold up to ten pounds, which is about five 12-inch wind spinners. If you cannot decide how fast you want your spinners to turn, you may want to get a large battery powered rotator in each speed.

The twirling machine is also a battery rotator for wind spinners. It can also be used indoors for any items that weigh less than 1.5 pounds. Think of the freedom this twirling machine could give to other spiral and hook decorations. If you need a battery twirler for porch that is enclosed, you may want to consider one of these. Hang your wind spinner from this twirling machine and you won't be able to take your eyes off of it. It is a beautiful site.

A wind spinner turner rotator is a must to get the most enjoyment from your wind spinner when you have no wind. We hope this helps you select the best twirlers, spinner stands, or battery operated rotators for your wind spinners.

Music Decor and Gifts for Bathroom Interior Decorating

Have you ever wanted to update your shower and vanity in your bathroom and pick out new colors, and try to find bathroom decorating ideas with the right accessories?

Interior Decorating Bathroom Ideas: Take another look around your bathroom. Identify what you need versus what you would like to have. Determine where you have enough space to be flexible and if some things will need to fit into an allotted space. Keep in mind that sometimes you can find a complete package of related accessories to accessorize your entire bathroom. But if you cannot find what you want in a complete package, you may prefer to buy your accessories one at a time and coordinate them as you go.

Do you plan to have shower doors, or will you need a shower curtain and shower curtain hooks? Would you like a waste basket and soap dish to match? Or would you rather have a dispenser for your soap and lotions? Do you need a toothbrush holder? Do you need a tray or perhaps a second decorative soap dish to hold your jewelry? Do you need a hook where you can hang a robe or clothes? Do you need a bath mat? How about a night light? What about towel bars?

If you have enough floor space, you could use a stand that sits on the floor to hold your towels. If you have enough wall space, you can use the kind that attaches to the wall. Towel rails are also nice if you have the wall space and the budget for them. If you have no floor space nor wall space, then think about using towel bars that will fit on the hinges of your bathroom door and have four bars where you can hang towels. These work very well in confined spaces.

Perhaps instead of redoing your entire bathroom, you are wanting to add music decor to your bathroom.  Have you seen the music toilet flush valves, the musical note bath Q-tip container, the piano keys soap dispenser, the variety of music door pull knobs  you can add to your cabinetry, the volume of  music night lights in all kinds of music themes, and don't forget music rugs.  If you are looking for things related to music, you might also like Music Note Bathroom Decor.

Hopefully, the above will provide new ideas and help kick start your bathroom interior decorating project.

Balloons for Music Party Decorations-Special Party Themes

Balloons are a great idea for music party decorations, and are available in many shapes, sizes, colors and special party themes.

Make your party decorations sing with balloons. Use your imagination and play along with any song with an inflatable musical instrument like a guitar or saxophone, for instance. Or consider using a few of the really large balloons shaped like large music notes.

Use balloons with music note decorations to enhance your special party themes. Add plain balloons in a color or multiple colors of your choice.

Use one balloon, or two or three, or make balloon bouquets. Make several bouquets using only balloons with music notes, and then make more bouquets using fewer balloons with music notes and more plain balloons. With this same technique, you can make anything from very simple centerpieces to elaborate columns, arches, spirals, rainbows and more using plain balloons and balloons with music notes. Check out our March 2009 post titled Music Décor Party Decorations and Special Party Themes for more suggestions and a fun video demonstrating more elaborate balloon decorations.

Why not buy balloons and make your own music party decorations for your special party themes? Think of the fun you can have and the money you can save!

Enjoy your party by keeping things simple. Creating your special party theme and party decorations should be fun!

If you really want to be creative, think of a way you can have your guests help create balloon bouquets for your party decorations. Balloons could be blown up and handed to guests as they arrive. Play a game that encourages guests to mingle and get to know each other and ultimately create bouquets with their balloons. You might have them draw a piece of paper on which you have written a song title (keep the songs simple) and tell them to hum their way among the guests to find others with the same song. You can vary the size of each balloon bouquet by the number of times you write that song title on a piece of paper. Your guests will not know how many balloons they need for their bouquet. At the end of the game, each group could join their balloons to make a balloon bouquet music party decoration, introduce themselves and sing their song together.

Voila! Would this make a great way to have an icebreaker, introduce guests, and simplify your music party decorations? Please share your ideas and comments.

Music Party Decorations and Special Party Themes

Keep it simple when you create music party decorations and special party themes.

There are a lot of choices that you can pull together to go with a music theme for your party decorations. Music wall art, swirl or other decorations that hang from the ceiling, table decorations, balloons, musical instruments, and the list goes on. Any one music party decoration can be incorporated into your special party themes no matter what kind of music or party you intend to have. Think about it: Rock and roll, Classic Rock, Polka, Square Dance, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, etc.

Music note decorations, special printed balloons as well as plain colored balloons, and inflated musical instruments are all fairly easy to find. If you cannot find musical napkins, paper plates, and cups all in the same pattern, then find a design you like, and buy a coordinating color for the rest of the paper goods.

Don't make your party decorations so elaborate that you wear yourself out getting ready for the event. The nice thing about music party decorations is that you can create special party themes just by the type of music you select and you can add as few or as many music gifts and music themed decorations as your time and money will allow.

Flowers often head the list for table centerpieces, but don't let yourself fall into a rut. Think about a music box or other music-related items to use for your table decorations. Your table decorations (one of a kind, or all different) can still be given as door prizes, and will keep on giving long after flowers wilt.

The beauty of using music gifts as table centerpieces and door prizes is you don't have to stress over them. Decide that is what you want to do for your next event, and collect a variety of different music gifts as you find them. Voila! You're almost ready for the guests to arrive!

Why Music Decor?

Imagine the world without music! Imagine a music lover without some form of music decor in their midst. Even with the variety of music decor, music gifts, and music themed home decor that we discuss here, we are only skimming the surface. Think of your world and all of the places, your music room, kitchen, bathroom, garage, garden spot, porch, etc., where you would enjoy it. The possibilities are endless.

Why music decor?

There are people who can actually feel the beat of music in every moving thing. A good example of this is portrayed in the movie, "August Rush".

Directly opposite, you find people who say they have a tin ear because they do not know if a note is on key when they hear it. Many people who claim the latter still enjoy the sounds coming from the Corinthian Bells Windchimes. They also enjoy watching a music related performance because they can appreciate the enjoyment on the face of a star performer and their determination for success.

If you think people with a tin ear do not enjoy music-related things, think again. If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I may not have believed it. We had tickets to a ballet (first time we had ever gone to one) and invited a couple to go with us. The lady told me after we got there to not be surprised if her husband got up and walked out. There were three short acts, and after the second act, he asked a question wanting to know what they were doing. When I told him they were doing three different stories, and the second act was the story of the "Prodigal Son", his face lit up with enjoyment because he had recognized the story.

So why not music decor? Music themed home decor does not always have to be about music notes, music gifts, and musical instruments; it can be gentle reminders of good times shared with friends, new experiences, creating harmonious spaces, and best of all, having fun and enjoyment with a touch of music.
